Lucy Boynton looks every inch the rock chick in a black denim jacket and floral mini-dress

She was recently confirmed as the star of a new musical exploring the life of Marianne Faithfull.

And Lucy Boynton looked every inch the rock chick as she jetted out of LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Sunday. 

The actress, 26, kept casual in a black denim jacket and floral mini-dress, paired with opaque tights and striking cat-eye leopard print shades. 

The Miss Potter star wrapped up in a black cardigan boasting eye-catching turquoise buttons and added a punky edge with a pair of black patent creepers.

Lucy swept her blonde bob into a tousled ponytail and seemed in good spirits as she flashed a wide smile while leaving the airport.

The screen star first found fame at the age of 12 when she played renowned children’s author Beatrix Potter in 2006 film, Miss Potter.

She has gone on to play many high-profile roles, most notably Mary Austin in Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, alongside boyfriend Rami Malek, 38, in 2019. 

The Murder On The Orient Express star is now preparing to appear in another musical biopic as she will be playing Marianne Faithfull in an upcoming feature film.

Faithfull will explore the life of the legendary sixties singer who made her name with hits such as As Tears Go By and This Little Bird.  

Lucy’s involvement was first reported by Deadline in October, but her role was confirmed earlier this month, with McQueen documentary director Ian Bonhote coming on to direct the project.

Casting director Sarah Crowe will focus her efforts on finding an actor to portray famed Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

Lucy will serve as an executive producer, though it remains unclear when the film will go into production, or when it will be released.

‘I am delighted that my story is finally being made with my dream team of Lucy, Julia and Ian,’ Faithfull told Deadline.
