The Bachelor: Peter Weber gets warned by ex-girlfriend about Victoria Fuller but she still gets rose

Peter Weber’s ex-girlfriend cautioned him during a hometown visit to stay away from Victoria Fuller on Monday’s episode of The Bachelor. 

When 26-year-old Victoria heard about the discussion, she went ballistic, speaking to Peter, 28, rudely, avoiding his questions and refusing to talk about it further.

Her terrible response almost got her kicked off the show, but instead Peter said goodbye to Kelsey Weier, a 28-year-old clothier from Des Moines, Iowa, who was in love with him.

Victoria will be joining Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss, both 23, for Fantasy Suite dates with him on the Gold Coast of Australia next week.

Peter’s ex, Merissa Pence, approached him after he’d just spent the afternoon dancing with Victoria, a medical sales representative, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The California pilot thought everything was going swimmingly, but Merissa said she had known Victoria for years, and was worried that she might hurt Peter.

‘I know that you’re a great guy, and I don’t think you deserve what you’re on a date with right now,’ Merissa said. ‘There’s been many relationships broken up because of her, and I don’t think it’s a good relationship for you to be in.’

Peter was blindsided by the encounter, calling it ‘a complete bomb that just got dropped.’

When he confronted Victoria about it before dinner that night, she immediately went on the defensive, saying, ‘It’s so much drama all the f***ing time. I’m so ready to just like, not.’

Peter tried to talk it out with her, but Victoria whined, ‘What are we going to say? There’s nothing to f***ing say.’

Things got worse from there, and he didn’t end up having dinner with her family, as planned.

It could have been the final nail in the coffin for Peter’s relationship with Victoria, who had been difficult on dates, cried often, and gave the impression of being uninterested.

Peter already faced a daunting task throughout the episode, going on four hometown dates and meeting each woman’s friends and family.

He started off by visiting model Hannah Ann in Knoxville, Tennessee, where they had a blast throwing axes at a local event space and grabbing a beer.

Peter then gave her a list entitled ‘Things I love about you,’ which included, ‘How you give me butterflies every time I see you,’ and ‘How we have the same opinion of what true love is.’

When he met her family that night, he was moved by how close they were, and Hannah Ann’s mother and sister observed that she seemed happier than ever.

Even skeptical father softened when Peter confessed he was falling in love with Hannah Ann.

Like all of the women’s parents, Rick Sluss begged Peter not to tell her that unless he meant it.

Peter decided to go forward, however, and Hannah Ann said she was already in love with him.

Privately, Peter noted that he could ‘100 percent’ see himself proposing to the young woman.

His second hometown visit was with Kelsey in Des Moines, and a little more confusing.

The two of them met at a vineyard where they stomped on grapes and created their own wine.

As they sampled it, Kelsey told Peter she was in love with him, and his easy smile faltered.

‘That makes me really happy,’ he replied. ‘I can definitely see a future with us. So, thank you.’

Over dinner, Kelsey’s family was just as welcoming as Hannah Ann’s had been, and when her sisters asked Kelsey whether she’d say yes if Peter proposed, she nodded.

She was terrified Peter was going to break her heart, however, and her mother flat-out told Peter not to do that.

In his post-dinner talk with Kelsey, Peter told her, ‘My heart has definitely fallen.’

His third hometown visit was with Madison in Auburn, Alabama, and he was very excited.

Madison, a foster-parent recruiter, took him on a tour of her alma mater, Auburn University, where her father helps coach the Auburn Tigers basketball team.

To Peter’s delight, the scoreboard in the basketball arena read ‘Peter Loves Madison,’ and former NBA pro Charles Barkley, a former Auburn Tiger, came onscreen to wish them well.

‘You better treat that girl right,’ Charles, 56, urged Peter. ‘She’s part of the Auburn family and we always stick together.’

Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl, 59, congratulated Madison on ‘making two Final Fours’ as the Tigers reached the semifinals last year of the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Madison, who’d won four high school basketball titles, challenged Peter to complete some basketball tricks, then trounced him in a game, 5 to 3.

Peter proclaimed himself especially nervous as he went to meet her family that night.

He was introduced to their tradition of ‘the special plate,’ which had been given to Madison that evening, meaning that everyone would say something nice about her.

Peter impressed the family, but Madison’s mother worried that he wasn’t aware of just how much her daughter’s faith meant to her.

‘There are some things that I kind of need to share and open up with Peter about,’ Madison admitted in a confessional. ‘And one of those things is that I am saving myself for marriage.’

Madison’s father, Chad Prewett, felt she might not be compatible with Peter, especially after the Bachelor was unable to promise him that Madison was ‘the one.’

He let Madison know he was feeling conflicted. ‘You know, when you were a little baby, I laid my hands on you… and prayed for your future husband,’ Chad said. ‘I’m not ready to say right now that that’s him. However, I’m not ready to close the door, either.’

Outside, Peter emphasized to Madison that he was ‘falling head over heels’ in love with her.

‘This is so fricking hard,’ she replied, noting privately she wasn’t sure they were a match.

‘Tonight was harder than I thought it was going to be,’ Peter told the cameras later. ‘But after going through it with her and with her family, it makes me feel really confident about us. And I love Madison. I just know that she’s on that same page with me.’

For his fourth hometown visit, Peter met with Victoria in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where they took vintage-style photos, shared ice cream, and danced at a Hunter Hayes performance.

Hayes was singing his hit song I Want Crazy, and when Victoria asked Peter if he was sure he ‘wanted crazy,’ he nodded, feeling that they might even be on the marriage track.

But when the two of them separated for a few hours, Peter’s ex Merissa approached and shared with him the information she had on Victoria.

‘Just be careful,’ Merissa warned him, going on to mention the relationships Victoria had allegedly destroyed. ‘I’m from here, and I just know what a good guy you are, and I would hate for any of who you are to be affected by somebody else.’

Peter asked Victoria about it that night as they prepared to have dinner with her family, and her tone switched from sweet to nasty, as it had other times before.

On the doorstep of her home, she refused to address his questions at all, and turned it all back on him, which made Peter wonder if she was ‘giving up.’

‘You literally just came in here to act like that?’ Victoria sniped. ‘Are you kidding me?’

Peter was flabbergasted by her response, and stared at Victoria as she continued.

‘You’re supposed to meet my family tonight, and you decided that what Merissa told you was more important than meeting my entire family,’ she complained. ‘I have nothing to say to you right now.’

Peter asked Victoria if she’d ever fought for anything she wanted, and she denied that she was the type to give up, saying she ‘didn’t agree’ with that point of view.

‘I am so done with this conversation right now,’ Victoria added. ‘I can’t do this. I can’t. I’m f***ing so done.’

Peter tried to finish the conversation, but she waved him away and stormed off crying.

‘I’m so done,’ she sobbed. ‘Like, I hate this. Every time. It’s like I can’t catch a break.’

Peter apologized to her, and Victoria cried again, saying, ‘I like, adore you. I literally wanted to tell you tonight that I am falling in love with you. And how am I supposed to do that if…?’

Peter insisted he had not given up on her, and she said, ‘Why are you so willing to stay?’

‘Have you not seen this entire time how much I have cared for you?’ Peter asked her. ‘And how much you have meant to me?’

Victoria suddenly grew embarrassed by her behavior, and Peter hugged her, saying, ‘You deserve to be loved, okay? Don’t push that away.’

The next day, Victoria showed up at his hotel and apologized, to which he replied, ‘I feel like you don’t even want me to love you the way I want to love you.’

‘If you don’t want to continue with me, I understand,’ Victoria told Peter. ‘But I can’t let you leave …when you don’t know that I’m falling in love with you.’ 

At the final rose ceremony, Peter chose Victoria, which meant sending Kelsey home.

Before she left, he gently broke it to Kelsey that he just hadn’t felt what she did.

‘When you told me you loved me, believe me, that meant the world to me, but I just… I wasn’t there,’ Peter admitted.

‘I’m still in shock and confused,’ Kelsey said, as she was driven away. ‘I didn’t expect to fall for him as hard as I did, but I fell, and he didn’t. And it hurts really bad.’

As the show closed, Madison started to worry about the upcoming Fantasy Suite Week, and called Peter over to talk about her struggles.

In a preview of next week’s show, she told him she couldn’t move forward if he slept with other women.

The Bachelor will return next week on ABC.
