Channel 10 music show The Loop was axed earlier this month after eight years on air.

And presenter Liv Phyland has taken advantage of her newfound unemployment by heading to a wellness retreat in Sri Lanka.

The 29-year-old TV host has flooded her Instagram feed with enviable snaps from her tropical getaway over the past week.

She is staying at Talalla Retreat, which charges US$1,700 for a seven-day package. 

Liv engaged in several activities, including Pilates, ‘boxilates’, surf lessons, a half-day safari, bike rides, massages, guided meditations and cooking classes.

In her Instagram posts, she boasted that her holiday consisted of surfing, drinking out of coconuts and enjoying her villa’s ocean views.

Liv admitted she had ‘neglected’ self-care in recent months, but had rediscovered its importance during her week in Sri Lanka.

She added that reading books, writing in her journal and ‘watching the sun come up’ had shown her what really matters in life. 

In January, she revealed on Instagram that she had been crying at her desk after having an ’emotional breakdown’ at work.

In a series of confronting posts, she told her followers she had been feeling overwhelmed lately after ‘taking on too much’.

The following month, on February 6, the network announced that The Loop had been cancelled after eight years on the air.

The final episode, hosted by Liv and Justin Hill aired on Saturday, February 9.
