Alessandra Ambrosio is ready for Carnival as she jets into Rio de Janeiro

And yet again, Alessandra Ambrosio took time off from work this weekend, getting to Rio de Janeiro in her native Brazil to take part in Carnival, the famed week-long annual party.
Alessandra, 38, made the airport her runway on Saturday as she was seen strutting while checking her phone, packed economically with a rolling valise and a pretty, geometrically patterned tote bad atop it.

The Brazilian bombshell wore a black leather motorcycle jacket over her shoulders, over a tighter black top that revealed just a sliver of toned midriff.
Alessandra had on an artful black and white bandanna-style scarf, and she sported pale green military cargo pants cinched at the waist with a fabric belt.
She wore white tennis shoes and carried a tan leather satchel on her shoulder.
Alessandra kept her jewelry light for the trip, and her manicure was bright and almost white.

Later, Ambrosio documented the beginnings of her travels in the sprawling Brazilian metropolis, asking her 10.3million Instagram followers whether she should imbibe coconut water directly from the fruit, or in the Brazilian cocktail Caipirinha.
The 5ft9in supermodel also shared snippets from her 5-star luxury suite at the Fasano Hotel, in the central area of Cerqueira César in Rio.
She animated the clips with a fun and animated logo featuring the word ‘Carnaval’.

As part of the festivities, samba school parades will take place Sunday and Monday at the Marquês de SapucaÍ, in downtown Rio.
Ambrosio recently launched a swimwear line as part of her brand Gal Floripa called Yantra, which takes its name from the ancient Hindu yogic geometry.
The Sri Yantra, in particular, is a pattern made up of interlocking triangles that are known to represent the tree of life, or the cosmos and the human body.
The Yantra bikinis and swimsuits incorporate triangular paneling in their structure.
