Ariel Winter opts for sheer black dress with Sarah Hyland at Modern Family wrap party

They said a fond farewell to a show which made them both household names.

And Sarah Hyland joked that her role as Ariel Winter’s sister on Modern Family even inspired the girls to dress alike as they celebrated the ABC sitcom at a wrap party on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old actress took to Instagram to celebrate the show’s success with her sidekick while joking that the pair were ‘wearing the same outfit’ as Winter posed in a revealing mini gown next to Sarah’s slinky black dress.

Ariel left little to the imagination in a black bra and high-waisted briefs, with a see-through material covering her figure.

She added inches to her petite frame with a pair of strappy heels and wore her chocolate brown hair in loose curls.  

Hyland’s svelte figure was on display in a form-fitting black dress with delicate straps and a hemline below her knees.

‘I love these people with all my heart,’ she captioned a series featuring Ariel, Noland Gould and Chris Geere. ’11 years together is proof you and your tv sister will start wearing the same outfit, siblings for life will be made, and you’ll forever fight over the same professor.

Sarah portrayed Phil and Claire Dunphy’s oldest daughter, Haley, on the hit show while Ariel played the role of her younger sister Alex.

‘We’ll always be Dunphys and we’ll always have each other,’ Hyland added in the caption with her television siblings.

The family sitcom finished filming its final episode this week after more than a decade on television.

The show was created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, and quickly drew a cult following as it followed three families living in the Los Angeles area.

Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Rico Rodriguez and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons also starred on the show for its entire run, with Jeremy Maguire and Reid Ewing taking on roles for many of the show’s 250-episodes.
