The Invisible Man opens in theatres on Friday and the re-telling of the classic horror story is written and director by Australian Leigh Wannell.

Moss stars as Cecilia who escapes her abusive husband Adrian, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and moves in with her friend James, played by Aldis Hodge, and his teen daughter Sydney.

After Adrian decides to take his own life, strange things happen in the house and Cecilia starts to believe that her husband is not dead but invisible and poses a threat to them all.

Speaking to The Guardian, Moss explained why she chose to do the film.

‘I’ve always loved horror films and secretly wanted to be that girl running around screaming. This role not only offered that but was an interesting character piece with deeper resonances,’ the actress said.

Moss, of course, is famous for her roles in The West Wing, Mad Men and The Handmaid’s Tale.
