Two men and a dog are stabbed after ‘balaclava-clad gang storm funeral wake at Peckham youth centre and launch horrific knife attack’

  • Fight believed to have broken out at a wake near a pub in Peckham, London 
  • Officers were scrambled to the brawl to find two men with stab wounds 
  • A dog was also caught up in the violence and taken to an animal hospital  

Two men and a dog were stabbed after a fight broke out at a wake in south London. 

Officers were scrambled to Commercial Way, Peckham, just after 11pm on Tuesday where they found two men suffering knife wounds. 

A dog, believed to be a bullmastiff, was also stabbed and rushed to an animal hospital nearby.

The two victims were men in their 20s. One had a non-life-threatening injury and refused further medical treatment, while the other was taken to hospital.

The fight broke out near The Bradfield Club, which is situated near the Damilola Taylor Centre, a community centre named after the 10-year-old boy stabbed in the area in November 2000.  

A Met Police spokesman said: ‘One of the men’s injuries was assessed as non life-threatening and he refused further medical treatment,’ said the spokesman. 

‘The other man has been taken to hospital for treatment. We await an update on his condition.’ No arrests have been made.
