Ms Wang’s beloved dog, 11-year-old Reno, died on December 18, 2018, after suffering from multiple illnesses. She claimed that she fell pregnant on the same day the Samoyed died

The 39-year-old woman, who identifies herself as Ms Wang, lives in Tianjin in eastern China.

She said she had not thought too much about the blemish on her baby’s left arm until recently when she recalled that her Samoyed also had a mark on its left front leg.

Her beloved dog, 11-year-old Reno, died on December 18, 2018, after suffering from acute kidney failure, bone cancer and pancreatitis.

Ms Wang said she and her husband were still mourning the loss more than a year on.

Several months before the male dog died, Ms Wang and her partner discovered a scar on Reno's left front leg

'We saw him repeatedly licking a spot, then the hair fell out around that spot. We thought it could be a wound or he was suffering from a skin disease,' she said

Ms Wang’s son, nicknamed Tuan Tuan, was born in August last year.

Right after his birth, she noticed a grey birthmark on his left arm, but it was pale.

‘His birthmark became more and more obvious recently. When one friend pointed it out that Reno’s scar was also on his left leg, I was shocked,’ she said.

Ms Wang and her partner had a deep bond with their pet after raising it for nearly 12 years.

‘Is this [a mark] left by Reno so he could find his mum and dad [through Tuan Tuan]?’ Ms Wang wrote on her social media account.

Ms Wang told MailOnline that she did not believe in reincarnation herself.

She said, in reality, she believed the position of her son’s birthmark was a just coincidence.
