Chrissy Teigen made her ‘food critic’ toddlers an actual menu because they are ‘highly opinionated’

After revealing she created a kid-approved menu to ease meal times over a year ago, Chrissy Teigen proved her revolutionary idea is still a hit with her and John Legend’s two toddlers.

The Cravings author recalled feeling lost when her three-year-old daughter Luna suddenly became a picky eater almost overnight during a Friday YouTube video.

‘Before I was a mom, I never ever thought I would go out of my way to get my kids to eat,’ she said. ‘I thought I would say ‘eat what’s in front of you or nothing at all!!’ but alas, life didn’t work out that way,’ she captioned a clip of the video on Instagram.

She added: ‘I realized it wasn’t just about her getting to choose her food, but she also would eat more of it because she knows she got to make that decision all by herself and paid with play money.’

‘Turns out, you have to nourish your kids,’ her hitmaker husband said with a chuckle in the video, while holding their strong-willed little girl.

The pair, who also share one-year-old son Miles Stephens, bantered back and forth about their children’s food journey, which has had a fair share of ups and downs before adopting their solid method.

‘I bought a laminator, which I think was the best investment I ever made, it was like $32 and made Luna a menu book,’ she said. adding it’s called ‘Café ‘Street Where We Live.’

As she scrolls through the pages, it appears Teigen has taken pictures of each meal option on a child-sized plate, herself.

‘I know we’re crazy, but it works. And she eats all her meals and gets excited to do it,’ she concluded, while turning to John for his final thoughts.

Later in the video, Luna chooses fish sticks for dinner and pays with real laminated dollars, which Teigen insists are cheaper than buying fake money, and the model-turned-chef shares the exact recipe.

While her youngest doesn’t make a cameo in the video, the proud mom gushed about in the video description saying, ‘Miles, my little food critic, is highly opinionated when it comes to eating, but we do the best we can.’

On her hit fish stick recipe, she wrote: ‘Toons and Miles looooove this recipe, and it’s nostalgic for me. They’re so golden and crunchy that you’d think they were fried, but GUESS AGAIN–just a little panko breadcrumbs baked at a high temp.’
