Rebel Wilson EXC: Star is left horrified as her ex Mickey Gooch is restrained in elaborate prank

Rebel Wilson was left horrified when she witnessed two men in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) uniforms forcibly restraining ex-boyfriend Mickey Gooch and marching him out of a packed film industry event.

The Pitch Perfect star, 39, was at the Mammoth Film Festival for the weekend to support Mickey and his latest film Deported, and the incident occurred at a celebrity bowling tournament.

However, all was not as it seems as the ambush was part of an elaborate stunt pulled by practical joker Mickey on the event organisers, with the prank kept secret from everyone on his team, including Rebel.

As the bowling match drew to an end two men in ICE uniforms pushed Mickey to the floor, tie wrapped his wrists and frogmarched him out of the building to a waiting car.

Rebel, who was taken aback by the shocking scene, shouted out: ‘Mickey, what is going on?’ as he was restrained.

As the officers tried to take Mickey away, one of his team-mates, former pro basketball player Dennis Rodman, tried to obstruct the officers.

However, the sports star was told in no uncertain terms that they would arrest him also if he continued to get involved.

When the prank began, the ICE officers first tried to arrest another member of the bowling team, actor Matiano Di Vaio, who co-stars in Deported with Mickey.

The officers said Di Vaio was staying in the USA illegally as his visa had run out. Mickey tried to stop the officers taking Mariano away then he was restrained and taken away with Di Vaio.

The officers read both of them their rights as they led them away through the packed crowd at the Mammoth Rock N Bowl rink and bundled into a waiting car.

Rebel stood open-mouthed as the whole bizarre scenario played out in front of a packed 400 crowd at the bowling alley.

Mickey and Rebel previously dated in 2015 and decided to remain friends after going their separate ways.

Following their split, the actress told the Daily Telegraph that she was happy to remain single so she could concentrate on her acting work.

‘A lot of my friends who are married now wish they’d taken the same path — where you really went after your career and your dreams,’ she said.

‘That’s not to say both are mutually exclusive, because you can have it all if you want to. But I obviously chose career over relationships. And I don’t regret that decision one bit.’

Mickey starred alongside Rebel – as well as Alison Brie, Leslie Mann and Dakota Johnson – in the 2016 romantic comedy, How To Be Single.

In Deported, Mickey plays a character called Doug, who is called in to become a fake husband for actress Megan Park after she is deported from the USA, when she forgot to renew her visa.
