Amanda Knox ties the knot in ‘out of this world’ wedding ceremony wearing galactic-themed costume

Amanda Knox tied the knot in an ‘out of this world’ wedding ceremony on Saturday wearing a galactic-themed costume.

Pictures obtained by DailyMail.com show Knox, 32, arriving at her space-themed wedding to long-term boyfriend, poet Christopher Robinson, at Elk’s Lodge in Washington State.

The bride did not wear white, instead opting for yellow patterned loose-fit pants, a blouse and gold waistcoat.

Knox, who was convicted and exonerated twice for the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy, wore her hair pinned up with flowers woven in and had glitter jewels on her face.

The space-themed nuptials followed on from their engagement, after Robinson staged a bizarre, ET-themed proposal at their home in Seattle.

Family and friends had been promised a space-themed celebration – though it is not clear if the husband and wife were channeling any specific sci-fi characters.

Guests seemed equally stumped by the theme, with some seemingly misinterpreting galactic for flapper and toga-style costumes.

As night fell, the newlyweds and their guests carried on the celebrations, with the couple staying in their unusual outfit choices.

They were pictured laughing and joking with guests outside.

Guests could be seen in gold, suggesting this was a key color scheme for the day.

Later in the night, Knox and Robinson were then seen heading out of the venue to a nearby car.

The departure from a traditional wedding style came as no surprise from the quirky couple, after they had dropped more than a few clues in the lead-up to their nuptials.

Their wedding website was a bizarre affair, describing their union as ‘The Knox Robinson Coalescence’ and dripping in a sci-fi theme.

Knox and Robinson are no stranger to unusual themes – Knox previously shared a video of Robinson’s bizarre alien-inspired proposal at their home in 2018.

In the proposal video Robinson staged a fake meteor crash that held a ‘data crystal’ inside. That crystal read: ‘No other pre-singilarity union produced as much cerebral-empathic heat as the joining of Amanda Marie Knox and Christopher Gerald Robinson.’

After leading her out to their front yard to propose, Robinson got down on one knee and asked her: ‘I don’t have a ring, but I have a big rock.

‘Amanda Marie Knox, will you marry me?’

After saying yes, the pair kissed passionately while the camera rolled.

Earlier this month, the couple donned American frontier-style clothing as they celebrated their Old West-themed ‘couple’s shower’.

The Seattle-based author and Robinson posted a snap, saying: ‘Being the time travelers that we are, our couples shower was in old west.

‘I suspect we may be many years in the future come nuptials,’ he joked.

She wore a floor-length skirt and ruffled blouse, while Robinson sported a gun holster, waistcoat and rimmed hat in the style of settlers in the American West in the the 19th century, an era associated with frontier life and cowboys.

Knox and Robinson had been dating since 2015 when she reviewed his book while she was still engaged to someone else.

They have kept quiet about honeymoon plans, with their website reading that ‘there are conflicting accounts’ about where they plan to go.

Knox was found guilty alongside her then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito of the brutal murder of her roommate in Perugia, Italy, in 2007.

The couple were seen heading out of the venue later that night

British exchange student Meredith Kercher was found dead in the flat she shared with Knox.

The 21-year-old had been sexually assaulted and stabbed in the throat.

Knox, who became dubbed by the press ‘Foxy Knoxy’, and Sollecito were convicted of her murder and spent four years behind bars in Italy before they were acquitted on appeal in 2011.

Knox returned to the US and vowed to never return to Italy.

She was convicted for the crime again in 2014 before being exonerated for a second time in 2015 after it was overturned by the Italian Supreme Court, bringing an end to the legal saga.

Drifter Rudy Guede was jailed for 16 years for Kercher’s murder and sexual assault and remains behind bars.

Knox denies any involvement in the murder.

She has written a memoir and taken part in a Netflix documentary about the case, and also writes articles advocating for people wrongfully convicted of crimes.

Her ex-fiance Sollecito recently announced he is also engaged to his girlfriend Andreea Burtea.

While the two exonerated individuals celebrate their nuptials, Kercher’s family suffered yet more heartache as the murdered student’s father John, 77, died in February after being involved in a suspected hit-and-run in London.
