Australia’s new Bachelor will be announced this week – as it’s rumoured filming already kicked off last month

The Bachelor for the 2020 season of the show will be announced on the Kyle and Jackie O Show tomorrow.

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will speak to Australia’s new Prince Charming on their KIIS FM radio show on Wednesday morning.

While the announcement may seem early, filming for the next season appears to have already kicked of in mid-February.

Despite this year’s Bachelor already being confirmed, applications for the series are still open as of publishing.

This suggests that the full lineup of female contestants vying for the Bachelor’s heart is yet to be locked in, especially given some enter as ‘intruders’ later in the season.

Last year’s Bachelor Matt Agnew was announced in June, while 2018’s suitor Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins was also revealed in June.

But it seems this year, Channel 10 is going for a traditional early reveal in March.

Previous Bachelors Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson, Richie Strahan and Sam Wood were all announced in March.

Last month, it was rumoured that Bondi Vet star and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host Dr Chris Brown would be the next Bachelor.

According to an unconfirmed report in New Idea, Brown was ‘seriously considering’ the role.

‘Ten is throwing serious, serious figures his way to be The Bachelor this time around,’ a Channel Ten ‘source’ allegedly told the publication.

According to the magazine, producers and executives at the network think the hunky veterinarian will set hearts fluttering, which will equal big ratings.
