Survivor star Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert is set to take on one of TV’s biggest roles as Australia’s next Bachelor.

And it appears Channel Ten is moving away from their usual clean-cut casting by choosing the 30-year-old reality star.

Locky will be the only inked up Bachelor of the Australian version of the franchise, and does indeed have a huge tattoo collection.

The adventure business owner has the words ‘Strength and Honour’ in cursive written inked across the length of his collarbones.

Locklan, who also has a love of travel, has a map of the world scrawled across his rib cage.

Keeping things a little more local, Locky has an outline of Australia and the Southern Cross on his shoulder.

Elsewhere, the lover of adventure has a row of playing cards – a royal flush – on his bicep.

On the opposite bicep, he has another design which reads ‘You Only Live Once’ as well as another tattoo on his upper arm in cursive script.

Finally, Locklan has an intricate illustration on his lower leg, which runs from his knee down his calf muscle.

He also has writing going down his neck, starting from behind his ear.

Locklan was named as The Bachelor on Wednesday, taking over one of TV’s biggest roles taking from astrophysicist, Matt Agnew.

Locky has already started making waves when he took a swipe at former Bachelor Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins during an interview with Fifi, Fev and Byron on Wednesday.

‘If I can’t find [love] out of 24 girls – sorry Honey Badger – you’re doing something wrong!’ he told the hosts, prompting much laughter.

Locky went on to clarify that he’s not contractually obliged to pick a winner, but he is determined to find love on The Bachelor.

‘I do form connections pretty well. I think I definitely will find someone,’ he said. ‘This is an amazing opportunity and I just can’t wait for it.’

Locky was confirmed as the new Bachelor on Tuesday night.
