Post Malone’s crew insists he’s ‘fine’ after fans voice concern over video


A video of Post Malone performing recently caught the attention of fans on Twitter. 

In the clip, the 24-year-old sings his hit song I Fall Apart and seems to be giving an emotional performance, briefly stumbling and rolling on the floor. 

Fans online thought the singer may have been intoxicated, though his crew have insisted that he is fine and the antics seen in the video are merely a part of his performance.

Smitty, who DJs for Post Malone (born Austin Richard Post), shared an Instagram story seemingly in response to the video that caused concern, reading: ‘Posty is fine. This is his stage presence. Had no doubts.’

In the story shared by the DJ, there were comments on the video by Post Malone’s manager Dre London, opening act Tyla Yaweh, and Carnage.

Carnage commented ‘He’s just vibin…not that serious,’ to which Dre London responded ‘[precisely] brother. All vibez.’ (sic)

Smitty himself wrote, ‘lo ya’ll buggin wtf,’ and Tyla Yaweh said ‘Chill my brother living his best life.’

Fans started sharing the clip early on Friday, with one writing ‘Post Malone has been acting “weird” on stage…I’m not trying to assume anything, but he looks like he’s under drugs.’

‘Spread this video,’ the account @2020thought_ continued. ‘We lost too many artists over overdoses.’

Though there is no evidence the Rockstar singer was under the influence, many fans responded to the video and took his actions of appearing to stumble and struggle stand as cause for concern.

Another user was not concerned, suggesting the style was typical part of his live shows. 

One user and fan @JakeLindner said ‘He’s fine. Everyone upset has never seen him live.’

Adding: ‘He goes crazy on his huge hits but also is able to slow down and play instruments/ focus/ be normal.’ 

Post Malone himself has not responded to the concern by fans over the video filmed at a recent concert.
