Katherine Schwarzenegger ‘had the best time’ on International Women’s Day at Aerie REAL Summit in NYC as she promotes her new book

Katherine Schwarzenegger celebrated International Women’s Day at a summit for the lifestyle and lingerie brand Aerie at its #AerieREAL summit in New York City.

The 30-year-old author promoted her new book, The Gift of Forgiveness: Inspiring Stories from Those Who Have Overcome the Unforgivable, at the event from the brand, which promotes body positivity with its models and doesn’t retouch photos or alter people’s appearances.

Schwarzenegger at the event talked with British model Iskra, who she interviewed for the book, and posed with Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman.

Katherine wore a leopard print gown over a black turtleneck with black boots to the Gotham gathering. 

She had her shoulder length brown locks parted and accessorized with earrings and bracelets. 

‘I can’t wait for you guys to read about her inspiring forgiveness journey,’ she said in an Instagram post with shots from the Big Apple event.

Katherine, who’s married to actor Chris Pratt, said she ‘had the best time today’ talking about the book, and is ‘excited to continue these forgiveness workshops’ with Aerie at future events in Chicago and Los Angeles.

It’s been a whirlwind year for the daughter of Arnold and Maria Shriver, as she wed Pratt this past June 9 at Montecito, California’s San Ysidro Ranch.

She told People Friday that she gave Pratt and Shriver a first look at the book.

‘I didn’t want to give the book really to anybody because I like it to be a final product and make sure it’s perfect,’ she said.

Katherine noting that prior to its completion, ‘The only people who read it were my husband and mom’ and they were ‘impressed and just really excited’ with what they read.

She added: ‘They both know how passionate I am about this book and also this topic.’

Pratt gave the book a huge endorsement on Twitter last week, writing to Katherine, ‘So proud of you honey… I’m telling you, this book is going to change the world.’

The Gift of Forgiveness: Inspiring Stories from Those Who Have Overcome the Unforgivable is available Tuesday.
