‘Our drivers were supposed to be with us for this event, but due to the situation we’ve excused them for the occasion,’ a Renault F1 representative said.

‘I hope you understand why we are taking such measures.’

Robbie and Daniel’s precautions aren’t unwarranted.

Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife, singer Rita Wilson, announced on Thursday they had tested positive for coronavirus on the Gold Coast.

‘Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches,’ the Forrest Gump star wrote on Instagram.

‘Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.’

In an interview with The Project in January, Robbie said he feels relaxed whenever he’s in Australia.

‘I say this all the time about Australia, but in the UK where I’ve had tremendous success and great fans, there’s also a sort of tall poppy syndrome that comes with being from your own country, where there’s a lot of negativity that comes your way,’ he said.

‘In Australia, it just seems that I’m allowed to be me.’
