The Royal Family will lose ‘diversity, modernity, inclusivity and representation,’ following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back as ‘senior royals’, according to a royal expert.

Taking to Twitter, royal commentator Omid Scobie shared a photograph of the Duchess of Sussex, 35, from her surprise visit to Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham on Friday.

Alongside the snap, he penned: ‘I rarely add my own opinion to reporting but if there was ever a photo that illustrates what the Royal Family is about to lose — it’s this.’

In the photograph, the Duchess of Sussex can be seen making the ‘Equality’ sign following a school assembly.

During her final solo royal engagement, Meghan marked International Women’s Day by giving a speech on gender equality, social justice and women’s empowerment.

In a speech addressing the school’s boys in particular, she urged them to ‘continue to value and appreciate the women in your lives and also set the example for some men who are not seeing it that same way.

‘You have your mothers, sisters, girlfriends, friends in your life, protect them.

Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, plan to focus on 'picking places where they feel safe and they can feel they’re being heard and respected', according to royal expert Omid Scobie

Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, plan to focus on ‘picking places where they feel safe and they can feel they’re being heard and respected’, according to royal expert Omid Scobie

‘Make sure that they are feeling valued and safe and let’s all just rally together to make International Women’s Day something that is not just on Sunday, but frankly feels like every day of the year.’

Omid also recently told how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s future will be ‘about picking places they feel safe, heard and respected’ because ‘there hasn’t been enough of that in recent years’.’

Speaking on the Heirpod podcast, he revealed: ‘The future is about picking places where they feel safe, and they can feel they’re being heard and respected. And maybe there hasn’t been enough of that in recent years.

He went on to reveal that’s ‘why the royal couple are so keen to have change’.

It follows on-going claims over the past 18 months of a rift between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, first between Kate and Meghan, and then between future king Prince William and his younger brother, Harry.
