Warwick Capper slams Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke’s FOX FM radio show

Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke roasted former AFL player Warwick Capper for his payment demands to appear on their morning radio show on Thursday.

Shortly after, the 56 year old said he was disappointed in the radio trio after they laughed that he ‘upped his fee’ to be a movie reviewer on Fifi, Fev and Byron.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, Warwick said: ‘They get paid for their work, why shouldn’t I? It’s only fair.

‘That’s Fox FM for you. You can’t trust them. I didn’t want to do the (movie review) segment in the first place. Plus, I always liked Triple M better anyway.’

On Fifi, Fev and Byron on Thursday morning, the show’s producer Darcie Ridgeway spoke to the radio hosts about Warwick’s demands to appear on the show.

‘He (Warwick) did a little Valentine’s Day message for you, Fi,’ Darcie told Fifi.

Fifi replied: ‘I remember, that was such a generous thing to do!’

‘It was probably just 10 seconds. A little piece to camera. Probably 10 seconds of his time in the morning. He now wants $700 for it!’ Darcie said.

The radio hosts burst into laughter with Byron saying: ‘He sent an invoice for a shout out?’

‘Yes! But he also sends invoices that are not eligible. Accounts have been contacting me 24/7. He’s been calling accounts, saying very inappropriate things,’ Darcie said.

‘Sometimes he calls me on a Sunday 10 times just to follow up on his money. The other day, he sent me a message saying “Hey, do you have my ABN number?”‘

‘Hang on, why doesn’t he know his own ABN?’ Byron replied.

‘He gave it (his ABN) to me to try and get paid and then he was in Sydney and forgot it!’ Darcie explained.

Fifi then asked: ‘Is it not true that he also now wants to up his fee for his appearances?’

‘Yes! Accounts have asked that we never work with him again!’ Darcie replied.

Previously, Warwick contributed a movie review segment to Fifi, Fev and Byron.

Last month, the former AFL star made a crude remark on air about Fifi’s surname, ‘Box’, which is a slang term for a vagina, prompting Byron to ‘hit the dump button’.

‘Dumping’ is radio terminology for when a live show is cut off because the broadcast delay (usually around 45 seconds) is insufficient to censor inappropriate content.

Warwick had actually been invited on the show to apologise for controversial comments he’d made the previous week.

Just days earlier, Warwick had been dumped while speaking to Fifi, Fev & Byron about his friendship with actor Charlie Sheen.

He made a reference to there being ‘more lines than Falls Creek’, seemingly alluding to cocaine use, and was dropped from the live broadcast.

Following the incident, he labelled the hosts ‘f**king boring’ and insisted that his comments had actually boosted their ratings.
