Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will broadcast from home if they’re put into lockdown

‘It’s got the ocean view and we can smoke on the balcony’: Kyle Sandilands says he’ll broadcast his radio show from co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s home if they’re put into lockdown because of the coronavirus

With the coronavirus sending many companies into lockdown, the Kyle & Jackie O Show has been preparing for the worst.

Speaking on the KIIS FM radio program on Friday, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson revealed their studio experienced a ‘scare’ after someone in their offices needed to be tested for coronavirus.

Although they ultimately tested negative, the whole ordeal prompted Jackie, 45, and co-host Kyle Sandilands to think about what they’d do if they were put into lockdown.

The show’s newsreader, Brooklyn Ross, asked them to come up with a plan, with Kyle, 48, suggesting they should just work from Jackie’s house on the beach.

‘It’s got the ocean view, we can smoke on the balcony…’ Kyle explained.

Jackie said while she was happy to host the show from her home in Sydney’s Bondi, she’d be enforcing a ‘limit’ on the number of people who could be there.

Kyle then rattled off a list of people who would need to come, claiming someone would have to be there to ‘make coffees’.

But he said their producer, Adam Price, would need to stay behind in the studio ‘in the contagion suit’.

Kyle even volunteered to go over to Jackie’s home later in the afternoon with ‘a couple of tradie mates’ to turn her balcony into a makeshift radio studio.

A nervous Jackie asked how long they would need to be working out of her home, with Kyle immediately responding: ‘Six months.’

In an attempt to dissuade him, Jackie said the ‘noise’ on the balcony might pose a problem, but Kyle insisted it would all be fine.

‘There’ll be no noise, it’s the bloody ocean… The serenity of it all, it’ll be beautiful,’ he assured her.
