Dramatic bodycam footage shows the moment armed police officers arrested a drunk killer just hours after he stabbed a father-of-two to death in the street.
Ravinder Heer, 37, knifed Dale Grice, 32, after threatening his ex-girlfriend in a jealous rage outside her home in Kingstanding, Birmingham.
Mr Grice tried to step in to protect Heer’s former partner but was stabbed once in the back with a kitchen knife outside her home at 7am.

Footage shows Heer getting onto all fours as the officer shouts: ‘Armed police, stay where you are. ‘Get your hands up, put your hands on the floor. Get on the floor! Get on the floor now!’
He collapsed and died at the scene while Heer sped away in his car.
Five minutes after the September 7 attack, construction worker Heer was caught on a shop’s CCTV buying two cans of Stella Artois lager.
He drove away but crashed and abandoned the car nearby before staggering into another shop to buy more alcohol.
When he was refused he was filmed having an argument with a shop worker and jabbing him in the chest before leaving.
Less than two hours later armed cops spotted Heer stumbling around the street and arrested him at gunpoint.

A police camera – mounted above the cop’s semi-automatic weapon – captured the moment Heer was caught.
Footage shows Heer getting onto all fours as the officer shouts: ‘Armed police, stay where you are.
‘Get your hands up, put your hands on the floor. Get on the floor! Get on the floor now!’
After he was arrested he asked officers – who had not mentioned the victim’s name: ‘Is someone dead? Dale Grice is not breathing anymore?’
He then asked: ‘Who grassed me up?’
Heer was cleared of murder but was found guilty of manslaughter following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

Jurors heard the grandfather of Heer’s ex-partner had died and Mr Grice had been a mourner at his wake at a house in Kingstanding, Birmingham.
In the early hours of September 7, Heer barged into the house in a jealous rage and demanded Mr Grice join him outside where he stabbed him in the back.
After Thursday’s verdict, Mr Grice’s family paid tribute to him, saying: ‘Dale was the most loyal, hardworking and loving son, dad, grandson and friend anyone could ever meet.
‘Dale was the funny one in the family.

‘He always had a smile on his face and his character would always bring someone out of a sad moment.
‘He offered to do anything for anyone if they were in trouble.
‘Dale always looked after his sisters by giving them money and helping them out. He would walk in the pouring rain with them.
‘Dale lived for his two daughters. He will never see them smile or laugh again.
‘They will never hear his silly jokes and he won’t get to see them grow up.
‘We will never get justice for what has happened to Dale. We think we may be talking for everyone who had lost someone they have loved as much as we loved Dale.

‘Dale will live on through his daughters and they will never forget how their dad loved them.
‘We will never let his name dull. Dale Grice is one person that once met, you’ll never forget.’
Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, of West Midlands Police homicide team, said: ‘First of all I’d like to praise the bravery of the witnesses who gave evidence in this trial.
‘It was frightening for them, but what they provided us with proved to be crucial in piecing together the events of that fateful morning.
‘Dale’s family have acted with such dignity and restraint throughout the whole trial.
‘They know that Dale acted in a selfless manner and simply tried to protect a friend from suffering possessive control at the hands of an ex-partner.’
Heer, of Walsall, West Midlands, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on April 3.
