Barclays boss Jes Staley has been awarded stock worth £5.3million. 

The shares are linked to bonuses and pay – though most of the more-than 4million shares are tied to whether the bank hits a number of long-term performance targets.

The 63-year-old American has been Barclays’ chief executive since 2015, and is expected to leave by the end of next year.
