New Zealand, Canada and the Netherlands can also stream Frozen 2 from March 17, after the US is given the content on March 15.

Frozen 2 is the sequel to the massively successful 2013 film Frozen, starring Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel as voice-over artists.

The second film was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2020 Academy Awards for Into the Unknown, but lost to (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again from Rocketman.

The sequel earned $1.32 billion – surpassing the first installment which raked in $1.24 billion – making it the highest grossing animated film of all time.

Disney+ was launched back in November and streams film and TV shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and National Geographic.

The rise of the Disney streaming service comes as The Disney Channel and Disney Jr were removed from Australian cable channels.

In February, both Disney channels were removed from Foxtel, while Fetch TV will end its broadcast in April.
