Married At First Sight’s Mishel Karen couldn’t wait to welcome ‘husband’ Steve Burley into her Queensland home for ‘homestay week’ on the show this week.
The 49-year-old purchased the three bedroom property in Brisbane for $490,000 in 2015, with it now worth over half a million dollars several years later.
Mishel lives in the family home there with her two children, Sam, 20, and Eva, 18.

The spacious home boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double garage.
On the lower level, there’s a huge open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room, which opens up onto a covered courtyard, perfect for alfresco dining.
Upstairs, each bedroom has ceiling fans, air conditioning and plenty of space.

Mishel’s master bedroom has its own walk in robe and an ensuite bathroom.
‘Oh wow! It’s like I’ve just walked into heaven or something,’ declared Steve as he first arrived at Mishel’s house alongside his partner.
However, he wasn’t so impressed as he was given a guided tour of her bedroom.

‘This week, I do want there to be more intimacy, like touching and hugging and holding each other,’ a hopeful Mishel said beforehand.
‘That’s a bit concerning,’ responded Steve after seeing her double bed.
He then chose to stay in Mishel’s daughter Eva’s bedroom on his own instead
It has led to Mishel now doubting their relationship more than ever.
‘This week, I do want there to be more intimacy, like touching and hugging and holding each other,’ a hopeful Mishel said before welcoming Steve into her home
