‘Feel free to unfollow me’: Defiant Pia Miller hits back after being criticised for sharing sponsored Instagram posts during the coronavirus pandemic

Pia Miller has promised to continue sharing sponsored content on Instagram amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The former Home and Away actress told fans to unfollow her if they had a problem with her posts, just two days after she was criticised for sharing a sponsored selfie for Pantene shampoo.

‘I will continue to use this platform in coming days, weeks, months, foreseeable future to support and remain engaged with businesses and companies, big and small, that I feel so fortunate to still have a working relationship with,’ she wrote.

Quick to hit back, Pia, 36, explained that she was using her large platform on social media to support businesses amid the current economic downturn.

‘I am well aware of our heartbreaking and catastrophic global situation, it has been on my heart and mind every minute of every day,’ she responded.

‘Thank you for pointing that out. Businesses are also closing, people are losing jobs and our economy is rapidly declining,’ Pia continued.

‘I am fortunate to have the opportunity on this platform today to support the businesses that I believe in and work alongside during this difficult time.’
