Flipping Out’s Jeff Lewis’ ex Gage Edward serves him with $125K civil lawsuit on his 50th birthday

Flipping Out star Jeff Lewis turned 50 on Tuesday, and he ‘fully expects to be served’ a new civil lawsuit today over an alleged $125K loan in 2016 from his ex-partner of a decade, Gage Edward.

‘He’s taken this to such an ugly place. It is calculating and measured to file a lawsuit on the day before my birthday,’ the interior designer-house flipper vented on his SiriusXM radio show Jeff Lewis Live.

‘Forget my birthday! During this time [of the coronavirus quarantine] right now to be doing this is sick. Now I’ve got to hire another attorney. So the amount of money we are spending fighting each other could be going to the people that need the money, like my employees by the way, half of which are laid off, half of which are working from home.’

In legal docs obtained by The Blast on Monday, the 35-year-old business manager accused Jeff of ‘breach of oral contract’ for not sticking to the payment plan they allegedly agreed upon in February 2019 – a month after their split.

This is on top of the ongoing custody battle over Lewis and Edward’s three-year-old daughter Monroe Christine, whom they welcomed via surrogate in 2016.

On his show Tuesday, the OC native admitted ‘there was a loan’ but it ‘is not the right number’ because of ‘the huge amount of money he still owes me.’

‘I agreed to arbitrate [last Friday]!’ Jeff said of their recent two-hour phone call.

‘It’s kind of insane that we’re looking at a trial…Stop being so vile and so ugly. I do think this is about revenge for him. I don’t think it’s even about money. I think he wants me to hurt.’

Lewis continued: ‘If we would have sat down and just talked, I would have paid him his stupid f***ing number…But now it’s all off the table because he’s taken this to such an ugly place.’

Audiences first watched as Gage went from Bravo-lebrity’s employee to boyfriend to babydaddy during Bravo’s home renovation series Flipping Out, which aired for 11 seasons ending 2018.

Jeff remained quiet about his actual birthday plans, but he’s been quietly romancing Scott Anderson for the last year after being set up by The Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger.
