Shelley Craft and Scott Cam look tense while filming The Block – as Nine vows to continue production amid the coronavirus pandemic

It’s no secret that filming The Block can be an extremely stressful experience for cast and crew.

And hosts Shelley Craft and Scott Cam looked particularly on edge last Friday as they continued production in Brighton Melbourne, amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

The beloved duo appeared frazzled as they strode around the busy construction site, surrounded by tradespeople and production staff.

At one stage, Scott looked like he was having a tense phone call in-between filming scenes. 

Meanwhile, Shelley appeared concerned as she walked around the site with a coffee cup in hand and a deep frown on her face.  

Channel Nine has confirmed that The Block is taking things ‘day by day’ when it comes to deciding whether to film the show amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Block will continue filming on Wednesday and Thursday this week, a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.  

‘We are currently taking production day by day due to the rapidly evolving situation involving COVID-19,’ the spokesperson said. 

‘The safety and well-being of contestants and essential staff is of the utmost concern for production. The situation will continue to be monitored closely and additional steps to follow new government guidelines will be taken as required.’

It comes after photos emerged showing the precautions taken by The Block to protect cast and crew from coronavirus.  

Photos taken at the Brighton worksite last weekend showed several hand sanitiser stations and a sign that read ‘you must wash your hands using the sanitiser provided.’  

As of Wednesday afternoon, there have been 2,398 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia, including eight deaths
