‘You will still get to see your favourite bachelorettes and bachelors when they return to paradise for romance, scandal, betrayal.’

The network will screen two weeks of Jamie Oliver specials instead, along with COVID-19-related content ahead of the return of MasterChef.

Channel Ten’s latest season of The Bachelor is believed to be currently filming, but would be subject to strict government rules around distance.

Bachelor in Paradise will see the return of favourites Brittany Hockley, Timm Hanly and tattooed hunk Ciarran Stott.

Channel Ten’s head of programming Daniel Monaghan previously said the reality series would air ‘before Easter’ after the Married At First Sight finale.

‘I’m not going to play it against [MAFS],’ he told TV Tonight. ‘We’ll be clear of each other and there’s no point splitting the audience.’

In December, Monaghan revealed he was happy with the finished product.

Speaking on the TV Blackbox podcast, he said it had been ‘refreshing’ to see several contestants fall in love during filming.
