Comedian Dave Hughes reveals his children won’t let him use the toilet in peace while in self-isolation during the coronavirus pandemic

Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes and his family are self-isolating at home as the coronavirus pandemic escalates.

But the 49-year-old comedian can’t seem to get a minute of peace.

On Thursday, the father-of-three revealed his seven-year-old daughter had slid a note under the door while he was using the toilet, telling him to hurry up.

The child’s note read, ‘Are you actually on the toilet?’

‘Lockdown is getting tense. Nowhere to hide,’ Dave captioned the post on Instagram.

Dave and his wife, journalist Holly Ife, share three children: Rafferty, Sadie and Tess.

It comes after the TV presenter marked almost three decades of sobriety last Friday.

The team from his Hit Network radio show, Hughesy and Ed, celebrated the comedian’s achievement with a cake and balloons. 

Dave quit drinking alcohol in his early twenties and has previously said it was the best decision he ever made.

It comes as the number of coronavirus cases in Australia continues to grow.

As of late Thursday morning, there are 2,675 confirmed cases in the country, including 11 deaths.
