The soap couple announced the exciting news on Twitter, with Joe joking that coronavirus can ‘f**k off.’
Sally and Joe, who star as Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe in Coronation Street, were first pictured together in August 2018, and moved in together last December.

Tweeting a snap of Sally’s sparkling new engagement ring Joe captioned the post: ‘She said yes everyone, convid 19 can f**k off…’
Noting his spelling mistake he then added: ”Convid, covid, whuteva.’
Sally also confirmed the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a snap with the caption: ‘So this happened… #yes.’
In another snap, Sally and Joe toasted champagne, with the post captioned: ‘We’ve got each other.’
