‘It’s hard to watch’: Kourtney Kardashian reflects on the ‘courage’ it took to leave KUWTK amid dark moments on-air… after threatening to ‘f**k up’ sister Kim in shock brawl
Kourtney Kardashian has refelected on her decision to step down from Keeping Up With The Kardashians after the new season debuted on Thursday.
Following the first episode, which featured a shocking physical fight with her sister Kim, 39, the reality stalwart, 40, took to Instagram to explain that she struggled to watch the physical fight and was happy she found courage to step away.
Sharing a behind-the-camera shot from one of her confessionals on the show, Kourtney posted an impassioned message about her decision.

Kourtney confirmed to devastated fans in November that she was stepping back from the wildly successful reality show, which debuted in October 2007, and chronicles the life and times of the TV dynasty.
In her statement at the time, the mum-of-three wrote: ‘I just decided to spend more time as a mum and put more of my energy there…
‘But I’m not saying goodbye. But I think you’ll have to see more of it on the new season, season 18. It isn’t airing yet, but it’s being filmed. Currently, in this room.’
As the aforementioned season hit screens this week, Kourtney took time out to reach out to her followers regarding her decision.

She spoke in the wake of the episode which showed her explosive row with Kim, in which she threatened to ‘f**k her up’, threw a water bottle at her and jeered at her figure – which Kourtney admitted was ‘hard to watch’.
In her caption, she wrote: ‘The season premier of season 18 airs tonight on E! These first two episodes are hard for me to watch but it is in our darker moments that the growth happens…
‘I finally had the courage to change what was no longer bringing me happiness and putting my time and energy into that which is. Choose happiness!’

Rumours had been swirling for some time about her future on the show, as it was claimed she wanted to spend more time with her children, Mason, 10, Penelope, seven, and Reign, five, who she shares with ex Scott Disick.
After her initial announcement, their sister Khloe said: ‘We definitely love Kourtney and we will miss Kourtney and whatever she decides to do, but people come, people go all the time in this family….
‘We feel like it’s a revolving door, so Kourtney might leave this week, she’ll be back. They all come back.’
