‘I have very exciting news!’ Married At First Sight star shares her baby joy – and hopes the child will ‘bring light in these challenging times’
A former Married At First Sight star has shared her baby joy with fans.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Melissa Walsh revealed her daughter Ellie Lovitt is set to welcome a boy with her partner, Quin Komene.
The 55-year-old season five bride said she hopes the child will ‘bring light in these challenging times’.

‘I have some very exciting news to share. My baby girl is having a boy and I could not be more excited,’ Melissa wrote.
The events manager explained that due to social distancing rules, a gender reveal party was not possible.
‘Today was the day I got to tell her and her partner the gender of the baby,’ she continued.
It’s a boy! Melissa told fans in the post’s caption that while Ellie and her partner Quin were unable to host a gender reveal party, she was able to reveal the gender to her daughter
‘You may be young but you are going to be amazing parents, and you are bringing a light of hope to these challenging times. Love you always.’
Melissa accompanied the caption with a sweet photo of a pair of baby blue socks placed on top of a frame with text in the centre that read ‘it’s a boy’.
Melissa split from ‘husband’ John Robertson shortly after their season of the reality show ended in March 2018.

And since then, not only has she got engaged to her new love, artist Fred Whiston, she has also undergone a glamorous makeover.
‘I don’t think just because I’m 55 that I need to not take care of myself,’ Melissa told Daily Mail Australia back in September.
While she was rarely seen looking anything but made up on MAFS, the Melbourne-based journalist is now even more stunning.
‘I have always loved getting dressed up and doing my hair and makeup nicely. I get my hair done once a week and love getting my lashes done too,’ she said.

‘I don’t spend a lot on clothes as I’m a bargain hunter, but I definitely love doing a shopping spree.’
Melissa also underwent body shaping treatments in August last year, to sculpt her physique.
She received a Brazilian butt lift – a fat transfer procedure that moves fat from unwanted areas over to the buttocks for a fuller, plumper behind.
