Amanda Holden is all dressed up with nowhere to go as she dons TINY gold mini dress for champagne-soaked video call with her celebrity pals… amid coronavirus lockdown

As the global coronavirus pandemic is keeping the country in lockdown, people are having to get inventive with their social lives.

And Amanda Holden was not letting the crisis get her down on Friday night as she enjoyed a ‘Houseparty’ with a host of pals, using the app which is sweeping the board by allowing people to ‘meet up’ online.

Far from staying in her pyjamas, the Heart FM host, 49, got dolled up to the nines in a gold mini dress as she enjoyed champagne before posting a screenshot of her chat with pals including fellow stars Lisa Faulkner and Angela Griffin.

Amanda pulled out all the stops for the occasion, and she showcased her slender pins in the thigh-skimming metallic number.

Despite no plans to leave the house, Amanda boosted her height with a glittering pair of pointed heels.

The BGT judge wore her blonde tresses in a sleek style while she added a further touch of glam with a sweep of glam including a smokey eye.

Clearly having had the time of her life, Amanda added the caption: ‘My girls. What a lovely night. I appreciate them even more than I did before. To be honest. I appreciate so much more than I did before. #wecandoit’.

Meanwhile, her girlfriends looked like they got glammed up for the night too as they donned shimmering ensembles for the chat.

Her other pals including her former Cutting It co-stars Sarah Parish and Lucy Gaskell, ex EastEnders star Tracy Ann Oberman and former Emmerdale actress Nicola Stephenson.

While many stars have not been able to continue going to work, Amanda has been joining her Pussycat Dolls star co-host Ashley Roberts in working at Global Radio.

Ashley and Amanda have been keeping themselves entertained at the near-empty studios and have regularly shared updates of their antics on social media.

The pair have often documented their shenanigans at Heart Radio, including doing leg-up poses and pushing each other on wheelie chairs down an empty hallway when they had the office to themselves during the coronavirus outbreak.

Coronavirus was classed a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) earlier this month, leading countries such as Italy, Spain and the UK to implement nationwide lockdowns.

Last week, around 1.4 million vulnerable people in Britain – including those with underlying health conditions – have been told to self-isolate.

On Monday night, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the immediate closure of all non-essential shops and threatened people with fines or even arrest if they do not ‘stay at home’. The shutdown will last for a minimum of three weeks and the UK’s new state of emergency is unprecedented in modern history.

Gatherings of more than two people have been banned in the most dramatic curbs on freedom ever seen in Britain in time of peace or war, as the government goes all out to stop the spread of the killer disease, which has claimed 759 lives in the UK.
