Former Big Brother star Skye Wheatley debuts her ‘epic’ newly renovated gardens at her expansive $1million Gold Coast mansion

Skye Wheatley and her partner Lachlan Waugh have shared another update on the ‘epic’ renovations on their Gold Coast mansion estate

The former Big Brother star, 26, uploaded a behind the scenes look at the garden renovations, led by local landscaper Brooke’s Blooms, on her YouTube channel on Tuesday.

The couple bought the derelict estate – which they dubbed the ‘Waugh Mansion’ – for $975,000 back in August, and have made plenty of progress restoring the impressive Spanish Colonial-style home.

The footage showed cased the landscapers work, tidying the once abandoned garden back to its full glory.

‘We’ve got Brooke’s Blooms here, which is super exciting,’ Skye said in the video.

She added: ‘They’re doing a massive clean-up. Cleaning up all these palm [trees].  I tried to attempt it myself in another episode and it literally would have taken me so long.

‘It will take these guys about a full day to get things all cleaned up.’

For their outdoor space, Skye and Lachlan also cleaned up the front walkway leading into the home to prepare for it to be re-tiled with a new pavers.

Skye has previously shown off the couple’s bedroom on the ground floor of the property, which they were using while their master bedroom on the upper floor was being remodelled.

Skye told viewers that the room would eventually be turned into a rumpus room or a man cave for Lachlan after they move upstairs.

Before they moved into the room, the space seemed to be used as a storage area for their wood beams, concrete bags, the frames for their son Forest’s crib and folding screen.

Since moving in, Skye has decorated the space with block-out curtains, indoor plants and a large bohemian-style rug.

The couple also showed off their formal living room, which features large arched windows, timber floors and a fireplace.

Although the room does not have any furniture and is barely decorated, Skye revealed she had high hopes for the space. They explained their plans to install a darker coloured timber flooring for a ‘classy’ and ‘moody’ look.
