With the fitness star vowing to donate ‘every single penny of the money’ to the NHS as he continues to be the nation’s P.E teacher.

Sharing a photo of himself filming his workout, he penned: ‘Words can’t express how happy and proud I have felt every day this week as the nations P.E. teacher. I’ve been overwhelmed with the response and the support it’s had from everyone. ❤️

‘As a result of so many people viewing the #PEWithJoe workouts on YouTube the advertising revenue generated has been unlike anything I’ve seen or experienced on my channel before.

‘So I’ve decided that as long as I’m the nations P.E. teacher, every single penny of the money generated on these videos is going to the place where we need it the most right now. All of it is going straight to the NHS, to support the real heroes right now.

It comes after Joe suffered a nasty injury this week, after launching his hugely popular daily P.E lessons.

The Body Coach star shared an update on Instagram on Thursday, posting a photo of his bruised hand and revealing he is scheduled for a minor operation on Friday.

Joe shared the news after receiving questions from worried fans when he wore a wrist support during Thursday morning’s live workout.

Sharing a snap of his injured hand, Joe wrote:  ‘If you’re wondering why I’ve got a black wrist support on. I fell off my bike.’

‘Broke a bone in my hand,’ he added and pointing to the back of his hand just above his wrist, he said: ‘Having a wire put in here tomorrow.’

Both the BBC and Channel 4 have been on the phone to Joe since he started streaming live PE lessons for children via YouTube amid the COVID-19 crisis this week.

The Body Coach, as he is known to fans, is also said to be close to inking a deal with Channel 4 – after more than a million homes tuned in to the lessons, which he has pledged to undertake on a daily basis since schools were closed down earlier this month across the UK.

A source has told The Sun: ‘Channel 4 have worked with Joe previously and were straight onto him once they saw he was going to be hosting live workouts daily.

‘His YouTube streams have been watched in their droves, so they have offered him a deal to host a daily show for them which would be aired to the nation to get kids, and adults, moving every morning.

‘Nothing is signed yet but they are all hopeful something will work out.’

Announcing the idea on Instagram last week, Joe said: ‘Starting from Monday, every single day from Monday to Friday, I’m going to do a live workout called “PE with Joe” on my YouTube channel The Body Coach TV.

‘It’s a workout specifically designed for kids. Because when the schools closed, there is no PE. Don’t worry, I’ve got you.

‘I’m going to take this over. I’m going get your kids moving, fit and energised, positive and optimistic.’

He added: ‘It’s a 30-minute session for little kids right up to secondary school, get involved, have fun. We’re going to be doing loads of basic exercises. You don’t need a lot of room.’
