He is known for his exotic takes on classic dishes.

And My Kitchen Rules host and Paleo advocate Pete Evans proudly posted a photo of his variation on the classic avocado toast, which he made for his two daughters Chilli 14, and Indii, 12.

He explained that used No Nut Hemp wraps and toasted them until they were crispy.

He then added avocado, lemon juice, chili salt and chimichurri – a green sauce that originates from Argentina made of chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano and red wine vinegar.

Pete suggested the toast could be topped with fried or scrambled eggs, bacon or roast lamb.

Instead of eggs or bacon, the doting father topped his daughters’ breakfast with a few spoons of Salmon Caviar from Yarra Valley Caviar.

A Paleo diet restricts itself to food that could be obtained by hunting and gathering including lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

During his Evolve podcast last week, Pete said he was concerned for shoppers stocking up on food that wasn’t nutritious amid the coronavirus pandemic,

He said he was shocked by the number of people filling up their trolleys with ‘crap food’ at a local supermarket.

‘I was at the supermarket the other day picking up meat and seafood, but I was looking at people’s trolleys and I was like, “they’re still filling up with crap food”.
