Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth will be offering free guided meditation and visualisation exercises to children from Sunday to help with feelings of ‘stress’ and ‘anxiousness’ around COVID-19.

The 36-year-old shared to Instagram on Saturday that these will be available through his health and fitness app Centr.

The doting father-of-three admitted he started using the method on his children when he had trouble getting them to focus while they are being homeschooled.

Chris revealed a friend recently recommended he try them with his brood – daughter India, 7, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 7, but he was skeptical.

‘I thought this is not going to work, my kids are allergic to sitting down,’ the Thor hunk said in a video on Instagram.

‘But to my surprise, it actually worked and it did calm them down’.

Chris and his Thor Ragnarok director Taika Waititi will be narrating the guided meditations.

They will cover areas such as sleep visualisation and positive thoughts and be aimed at children between the ages of four and ten.

The medications are available for a free six week trial through Centr and then costs $19.99 a month.

Chris launched the health and fitness app at the start of last year.

It can be customised to suit any fitness level, dietary preference or lifestyle and will be accessible via iOS app, Apple Watch and online.

A the time of the launch Chris promised that the app will ‘help you develop a healthier body, stronger mind, and a happier life’.
