He usually films Neighbours five days a week in Melbourne, and jets back to Sydney on weekends to spend time with wife Anna Heinrich.
And now Tim Robards has revealed that he was secretly happy that production of the hit soap had to stop for a few weeks amid the COVID-19 pandemic, because he got to be with Anna.
Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph this week, Tim, 37, admitted: ‘It couldn’t have come at a better time.’

The pair were keeping their pregnancy under wraps at the time, after just finding out the happy news.
In March, it was reported that production of the long-running show had been shut down due to coronavirus concerns.
In late April, it was reported by The Daily Telegraph that the cast and crew of Neighbours had finally returned to Ramsay Street, but with ‘extreme measures’ in place.

Tim told The Sunday Telegraph this week: ‘When Neighbous had to shut down because of the pandemic, it actually couldn’t have come at a better time for me because it meant I could be at home with Anna for four or five weeks.’
He added that it was great to be able to ‘support’ his wife so early in their pregnancy.
‘It’s hard to be away because, as with any new mother-to-be, there’s a lot of changes happening in those early days and you want to be around as much as possible for that.’

The couple, who wed in 2018, shared the news they’re expecting their first child in an Instagram post on their respective accounts on May 2.
Lawyer Anna, 33, excitedly told her friends and fans online: ‘It’s been so hard to keep this a secret, over the past few months, but I can now finally shout… I’M PREGNANT!!!
‘With everything that’s going on in the world we feel incredibly lucky and grateful to be starting a family together, and we’re so looking forward to this next chapter in our lives.’

Tim echoed a similar sentiment on his own page, writing: ‘We’ve been keeping busy in lockdown … I can’t wait to be a Dad!!!
‘The giddy feelings in my stomach show there must be a few nerves, but I know Anna’s going to be an absolutely amazing mother and I couldn’t be more excited to start a family with her!’
They accompanied the joyous announcement with a cute maternity shoot.
