Holly Willoughby reveals the hilarious moment she fell through her chair

Holly Willoughby has revealed the embarrassing moment she fell through a chair and ended up with her legs in the air while on a Zoom chat with Phillip Schofield.

The TV presenter, 39, reunited with her This Morning co-host, 58, during their half-term break for a virtual murder mystery party Phillip hosted with his family.

Returning to This Morning on Monday, Phillip recalled the hilarious mishap: ‘The best moment – thank goodness I looked up – and as I looked up, Holly disappeared out of shot. Completely fell off your chair.’

Laughing, Holly explained: ‘Yeah. The best wifi is where the kids sit to do their homework, so I was perched on one of the kids’ tripp trapp chair type things.

‘So obviously where I am sitting on it, it’s moving… It’s moving… It’s edging back and suddenly it gave out and it was like somebody opened a trap door beneath me!’

Holly, who is mother to Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, five, with husband Dan Baldwin, 45, was dressed as a jockey for the evening and said her helmet saved her from a nasty injury from her eldest son’s drum kit.

She explained: ‘I went back, my feet went up so my feet were just in Zoom. And thank god I had the riding helmet on as I went back and hit the drum kit – Harry plays the drums!’

Phil said: ‘She disappeared out of shot, her legs shot up and she gave herself her own ‘ba dum tsh’ as her head hit the drum kit. I wish we recorded it!’

Phillip’s daughter Molly, 27, shared a glimpse of their virtual party at home, which saw the family and their loved ones take on personas with their own place mats around the dining table.

Molly shared a snap of the dining room which had been prepared for eight people to take part in the game, three of whom had to call in on the video chat on the laptop that had been set up on one side.

Phillip posted some snaps from another murder mystery evening last month and wrote: ‘Murder mystery night… we’re all in character and taking it very seriously.’

After seeing the photograph on his Instagram page, one follower commented: ‘So you moved out but you’re allowed to visit your family?

‘But I can’t go and visit my children and grandchildren. Just the rich or famous that are allowed, good to know. [angry face emoji].’

In response, Phillip quizzed his critic on where they had heard that he had moved out of his family home, suggesting that he was still living there.

Phillip was reported to have amicably moved out of the £2million family home in Oxford after publicly coming out as gay earlier this year.

In February, when Phillip discussed his decision to come out, he insisted: ‘We’ll always be a family’ and it’s clear they remain close.

He also insisted he still loves Steph as much as he did when they met ‘if not more’.

Staff at the TV studios have been made aware of the star’s change of address, including the drivers who ferry him to and from the studio.

A source said: ‘There has been talk for weeks that Phillip isn’t living with Steph any more, that he had moved out for good and had a new home. He has a place in central London.

‘It’s not as big but it’s the beginning of a new life for him. It very much also seems as though their marriage could well be over.’

Phillip surprised fans on February 7 by issuing a statement on social media declaring that after 27 years of marriage, he was ‘coming to terms with the fact that I am gay’.

In a choreographed follow-up, he took his place on the This Morning sofa besides co-host Holly Willoughby to further pour his heart out.

Writing on Instagram about his decision to come out, he said: ‘With the strength and support of my wife and daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.

‘My inner conflict contrasts with an outside world that has changed so very much for the better. Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud.’

He later admitted in a newspaper interview that it was too early to say if he and Steph would stay married.

‘It has taken me a long time to get here, I am not rushing to get to any other place,’ he said. ‘We will always be a family… And where the wind blows us I don’t know. But I still love Steph as much as when we first met. More probably.’
