‘She’s the image of me leaving the house post lockdown!’: Big Brother fans go wild for Jackie Stallone, 98, as her iconic 2005 stint is re-aired on Best Shows Ever

Big Brother fans were delighted when they were able to re-live Jackie Stallone’s iconic stint on the 2005 celebrity edition on Thursday’s Best Shows Ever.

The mother of screen legend Sylvester Stallone, 98, went down in reality TV history when she had an infamous run-in with Brigitte Nielson, who was married to Sly from 1985 until 1987, on the show.

Brigitte’s jaw dropped when her former mother-in-law walked into the shared house as a surprise ninth guest and in the now iconic scene Brigitte exclaimed: ‘Oh my god, Jackie!’ to which Jackie – wrapped in a glamorous fur coat – replied, ‘Yeah, Jackie’.

At the time Jackie was reported to not like Brigitte who she hadn’t seen since 1987 when her son divorced the actress.

After showing her entrance on the show, co-hosts Davina McCall and Rylan Clark-Neal presented her first day in the house, which she spent mostly asleep or lounging around the house declaring she was ‘bored’.

Jackie claimed she didn’t know what the show was about before entering the house and said she thought she’d be on the show with ‘eight of the best people in England’.

While in the diary room, Jackie also demanded Big Brother to provide wine and a harpist for dinner as she thought the show needed ‘more culture’ rather than showing ‘eight bored people’ on screen.’

When asked about her thoughts on being with Brigitte, Jackie said: ‘I think she’s lovely, I have nothing against her she was married to my son that’s her problem… the fact is she’s very lovely she just cooked dinner today, and a very fine dinner.

‘She said she’s cooking another dinner tomorrow, she’s been very kind to me. But that’s not the issue here, Brigitte is not the issue here… I insist I have a glass of wine with my dinner…  can’t you bring a harpist in here?’
