MasterChef Australia: Meet the spouses of the final six


MasterChef Australia: Back To Win is done to its final six.

And while fans are already showing support towards their favourites, the chefs are no doubt getting a boost from their biggest cheerleaders – their loved ones.   

From married spouses, long-term lovers and ‘secret’ boyfriends: here are the top six contender’s partners.

On Sunday, it was revealed Laura Sharrad, Callum Hann, Reece Hignell, Emelia Jackson, Reynold Poernomo and Poh Ling Yeow had all made it to the final six.

Poh, who was the first runner-up of the franchise in 2009, is married to aspiring actor Jono Bennett.  

The 47-year-old met Jono while she was a contestant on the cooking series and he was working behind the scenes as a runner.

They started dating after the show’s finale, and married five years later in 2014.

They share a love of food: Laura, who was crowned runner-up in the 2014 season, is married to chef husband, Max Sharrad

What are the odds? The chefs wed in 2018 after working together in the kitchen at Orana - which is owned and run by new judge Jock Zonfrillo

Laura Sharrad 

Laura, who was crowned runner-up in the 2014 season, is married to husband, Max Sharrad. 

The chefs wed in 2018 after working together in the kitchen at Orana – which is owned and run by new judge Jock Zonfrillo.

Laura and Max now co-own their own business: NIDO Bar and Pasta.

Reece Hignell 

Reece, 30, has been dating partner Dene Whitfield for almost six years.

He was by his side during his 2018 season of the show. 

When asked by Woman’s Day in April if an engagement was on the cards, he said this: ‘Well, I would like to say an engagement is on the cards, however I still haven’t been asked! I am waiting.’

Emelia first shared a selfie with Craig to Facebook in July 2018.

The winner of MasterChef: Back To Win will take home an impressive $250,000 cash prize at the finale.
