The Dick Van Dyke Show creator and TV legend Carl Reiner has died at 98. 

The legendary Hollywood entertainer is said to have died Monday night at his home in Beverly Hills, surrounded by his family, TMZ report. 

There are no further details yet on the cause of the death of the veteran entertainer, but he had remained a very active in his later life. 

In 2018, Reiner had said he wanted to ‘stick around’ to see Donald Trump voted out of office. 

Reiner was arguably best known for starring in and creating the classic American sitcim The Dick Van Dyke Show, that aired from 1961 to 1966 and produced a total of 158 episodes spanning five seasons. 

The show also created a star in Mary Tyler Moore who was cast as Dick Van Dyke’s TV wife.
