They’ve been close friends for years.

And on Nicole Kidman, 53,  confirmed her bond with Taylor Swift, 30, is as strong as after publicly praising the pop-star’s new album Folklore via social media on Saturday.

The actress uploaded a throwback video of herself on the set of The Beguiled movie wearing an outfit very similar to that worn by Taylor on her album cover.

In the video, Nicole is seen dancing around to husband Keith Urban’s song Blue Ain’t Your Colour, while dressed in a white dress and draped dark jacket.

Her hair was styled in a curled up-style typical of the 1800s.

Taylor similarly wore a white dress, draped dark jacket and curled up-‘do in her Folklore album cover image, as well as in the film-clip for her new single Cardigan.

Nicole said: ‘I look back now and I’m like, ‘What?’ You look at Taylor Swift, I mean how old is she? She’s 26.’

‘I had two kids by the time I was 27 and I’d been married for four years. But that’s what I wanted.’

Meanwhile, Nicole is currently facing public backlash for receiving special permission to avoid staying at a quarantine hotel after arriving in Australia from the US last Monday.

Nicole, Keith, 52, and their daughters Sunday Rose, 11 and Faith Margaret, nine, have instead been self-isolating at their $6.5million Southern Highlands estate instead of going through the mandatory hotel quarantine.

Nicole’s publicist Wendy Day subsequently refuted claims the actress and her family are flouting the government’s strict quarantine rules.

‘It’s absolute garbage. She is paying for all her own security and following all the rules, they are in isolation,’ Wendy told SMH’s Private Sydney.
