Married At First Sight star Lauren Huntriss is completely unrecognisable 18 months after appearing in Nine’s social experiment
She was one of the most memorable stars from the sixth season of Married At First Sight, which aired early last year.
But longtime viewers would have trouble recognising Lauren Huntriss these days.
In a photo shared to Instagram on Monday, the 32-year-old looked dramatically different compared to just 18 months ago.

Gone are her blonde locks, as the makeup artist now sports edgy red hair.
She also has a deep bronze tan, and her makeup is much bolder than the simple style she had during Nine’s social experiment.
In October, Lauren revealed her weight loss transformation, sharing remarkable before-and-after photos to Instagram.

The ‘before’ photo showed Lauren with a fuller figure on her Married At First Sight wedding day, which was filmed in September 2018.
The ‘after’ photo was taken more recently, and showed a noticeably slimmer Lauren posing in a crop top and leggings.
She wrote in the caption: ‘What motivates me? My trolls, my enemies, all the people who constantly try to bring me down to their level.’

Two months prior to that, Lauren had told her Instagram followers that she had lost an impressive eight kilograms.
‘I go to the gym four to five days a week, I walk everywhere, I eat a balanced diet and I take weight management supplements,’ she said at the time.
In the 2019 season of MAFS, Lauren was left heartbroken after her husband Matthew Bennett confessed to the other grooms at a dinner party that he wasn’t attracted to her.

She overheard his remarks and was humiliated. The following week, they decided to end their relationship at the weekly commitment ceremony.
Much like Lauren, Matthew has also undergone a physical transformation since the show.
The former virgin now has a scruffy beard and a far more muscular physique, and has launched a new career as a motivational YouTuber.
