Kylie Minogue has revealed that she has been sneaking into gay clubs for three decades to attend ‘Kylie night’.

The Australian singer revealed that her love affair with the LGBT+ community began at the start of her singing career when she discovered people were dressing up like for a night on the tiles.

Speaking on the Table Manners podcast, the 52-year-old explained: ‘I have been to Kylie nights since and I am the least Kylie of all the Kylies, it’s hilarious’.

Kylie explained that despite never initially marketing herself to the LGBT+ community, she gained a substantial queer following early on.

She revealed that back in 1990 she was walking down Sydney’s Oxford Street when she was told there was a ‘Kylie night’ happening at a nearby gay bar.

The curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to pay the bar a visit to see what ‘Kylie night’ entailed.

The Spinning Around hitmaker revealed that a few years later she: ‘I ended up at this gay bar because it was Kylie night, and there’s pictures of us, four Kylies – big Kylies – and then me, who just looks like I shouldn’t be there’.

Elsewhere in the podcast, the former Neighbours star revealed that people forget that she’s Australian because of her many decades living in Europe.

‘I have a British passport and an Australian passport. I think some people forget I’m Australian,’ she said.

However, Kylie has no plans to relocate back Down Under any time soon due to her relationship with boyfriend Paul Solomons.

‘[Paul’s] a Welshman. But he’s been in London for almost 20 years. There’s just not going to be an Australian home,’ she explained.

Kylie has lived mainly in London since the 1990s. She also spent time living in Paris in the mid-2000s while she was dating French actor Olivier Martinez.
