Strictly’s Jacqui Smith makes a VERY cheeky joke about her jugs on GMB

‘I usually have my jugs on display’: Strictly’s Jacqui Smith leaves GMB viewers in hysterics as she makes a VERY cheeky joke with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway

Jacqui Smith left Good Morning Britain viewers in hysterics on Friday when she joked about how she normally has her ‘jugs on display’ on the show.

Co-presenter Ben Shephard began the interview by joking around with the former Home Secretary, 57, as he noticed the dinnerware were not a part of her background in the video call, like they have been previously.

Shocking Kate Garraway as he did so, Ben joked: ‘We are missing the jugs though, we don’t want people moaning about the lack of jugs.’

Confused by what Ben was referring to, she said: ‘What? What are you talking about?’

Going along with the joke, Jacqui quipped: ‘Kate, you know usually I have my jugs on display when I come on Good Morning Britain.’

Kate admitted she’d ‘never noticed’ that there were usually jugs behind Jacqui, as Ben claimed: ‘Kate never pays attention to what’s going on in the background.’

Amused by the turn of events, Kate hit back: ‘No I’m listening to what she has to say, I’m not staring at her jugs!’

Giggling over the exchange, viewers took to Twitter to share their reactions to seeing the double entendre be made.

One wrote: ‘Just switched @GMB on to hear Ben Shepard talk about Jacqui Smith’s jugs… totally out of context comment.’

Another joked: ‘Health&Safety advice to avoid choking. PLEASE make sure you don’t have a mouth full of cereal at the point you switch on the TV to hear Jackie Smith utter the words “Usually, I have my jugs on display.” (sic)’

While one viewer joked: ‘I wasn’t watching tv directly at this time, just had it on in the background. But then I heard this and I was automatically and suddenly all ears!’

Earlier this month, Jacqui revealed she’s already getting tips from 2016 contestant Ed Balls for her stint on the Strictly dance floor.

The former Home Secretary admitted she doesn’t think she’ll be able to top the politician’s iconic Gangnam Style performance, but vowed to still ‘try hard’ and ‘take it seriously.’

Jacqui joins a star-studded lineup including actress Maisie Smith, broadcaster Ranvir Singh and Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing set to make their long-awaited debut on the Strictly dancefloor next month.

When asked whether there was a particular star she’d enjoyed watching from a previous Strictly series, Jacqui said: ‘Well, I’ve been lucky that Ed Balls has talked to me and give me some advice. I’m not sure that I would ever be able to match his Gangnam Style.’

While she admitted she’s yet to perfect his famous salsa – which became a viral sensation after he performed it with Katya Jones – Jacqui added: ‘I’ve only been on the phone with him so far. But obviously, I should be watching.

‘I should replay the video and watch very, very carefully. What he told me which I think is really, really important advice is people love Strictly and they love you taking it seriously and trying hard and that’s absolutely what I’m going to be doing.’

Ed became a fan favourite when he appeared on Strictly in 2016, and despite struggled to score high with the judges, he advanced to Week 10 before being eliminated.
