The creepy and kooky Addams Family returns with the teaser trailer and new poster for The Addams Family 2.
While the trailer doesn’t reveal any footage from the actual movie, the video (via MGM YouTube), it features a new look at Uncle Fester (voiced by Nick Kroll) and Wednesday (voiced by Chloe Moretz) and It (voiced by Snoop Dogg).
The studio also announced a new contest where fans can submit themselves to voice a role in the movie, arriving in Halloween 2021.
The trailer begins with ominous music and a number of title cards that read, ‘Only one year until the world returns to abnormal,’ with Thing nudging the ‘ab’ over to the ‘normal.’
We then see Uncle Fester turning around and proclaiming, ‘We’re back,’ with It seen mumbling below Fester.
It walks away, waving his hands at Fester, who asks where he’s going, because he, ‘thought we were going fishing?’

Fester pulls out a fishing pole, though it has a small stick of lit dynamite attached to the hook, which explodes and blows his clothes off.
As he stands there in his underwear, Wednesday walks by and squirts some black liquid over his bare chest and says, ‘You’re welcome.’
The title card appears with It forming the 2 in The Addams Family 2, as Wednesday arrives again and says, ‘A sequel. How original.’

The trailer ends with a shot of the entire family snapping along to the theme song, along with a unique contest opportunity.

Also returning from 2019’s The Addams Family are Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams, Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams and Javon Walton as Pugsley Addams.
The voice cast also includes Bette Middler as Grandma and Bill Hader as Cyrus in the animated sequel.
The Addams Family earned $100 million at the domestic box office and another $103 million internationally from a $24 million budget.
