Jackson Warne is one of the participants on Channel Seven’s gruelling new military-style reality series, SAS Australia.

And in a new interview, the son of cricket legend Shane Warne has openly admitted that growing up with a famous father has given him a cushy life.

‘As someone who has lived a pretty comfortable life their whole life, hasn’t really had to struggle for much, didn’t really have a tough childhood,’ the 21-year-old told the Daily Telegraph.

‘I wanted to show just because I have all these nice and easy things, I can still do the tough stuff, I can still get my hands dirty and crawl around in the mud,’ he added.

Jackson also revealed how he expects dad Warnie to react to the series.

‘With my dad, he’ll be so proud of me because he knows I’ve had a pretty comfortable life and I live pretty comfortably,’ he said.

In a post on Instagram last week, Jackson spoke about what prompted him to appear on the gruelling TV show, sharing a publicity photo from the new series.

‘Whilst I was happy with my life and very content with my day to day, I felt that I was almost too comfortable and something was missing,’ he began.

‘I was doing the same thing, eating the same food and stuck with the same thoughts, caught in this cycle. I needed a change.

‘So why did I do it? Simple answer… “get comfortable being uncomfortable”.’

The show is set to premiere on Channel Seven on Monday, October 19.

It will follow 14 celebrities as they attempt the intense selection process for the elite Special Forces army unit.

Under the guidance of former Special Forces soldiers, they will have to endure both physical and psychological challenges.

Proving himself to be the ultimate doting dad, Shane, 51, commented on Jackson’s post ahead of his upcoming appearance.

‘So proud of you Jackson! Looking forward to watching you rock this show!’ he commented, prompting Jackson to jokingly respond: ‘You’re next!’
