Jasmine Stefanovic reveals how she RUINED Karl’s first attempt to propose at Darby Day in 2017 – by accidentally finding the engagement ring in a safe
Jasmine Stefanovic (née Yarbrough) and her husband Karl Stefanovic made a big splash when they attended Darby Day together in Melbourne, in 2017.
It was a luxurious affair, and Karl flew in Jasmine and her sister, Jade, by helicopter – but it turns out he had an even bigger surprise in mind.
Speaking to Stellar Magazine on Saturday, Jasmine, 36, admitted that Karl, 45, had invited her friends and family to the event because he planned to propose.

However, the clothing designer revealed that she accidentally ruined the surprise, derailing the engagement.
Jasmine said: ‘A couple of years ago… Karl was secretly going to propose to me, so he invited all our friends and family to Melbourne – there were 50 of us.
‘But I looked in the safe and saw the ring box, and it ruined the surprise!’ she admitted.

The Mara & Mine designer does not say when Karl did pop the question, but it appears his racing day plans were derailed.
‘We had a laugh about it, though, and it was the best races I’ve ever been to because everyone we love was there with us,’ she said.
The races occurred in October 2017, and by February 2018, Jasmine confirmed her engagement by wearing a giant diamond sparkler on her ring finger during a celebratory lunch.

Confirming the persistent rumours, the happy couple were spotted dining with family and friends at Otto in the Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo.
