‘You’re not Brad Pitt!’ Jasmine Stefanovic reveals she had no idea that her now-husband Karl was famous until she saw paparazzi chasing him
Jasmine Stefanovic (née Yarbrough) says she had no idea her now-husband Karl Stefanovic was famous when they first met.
The 36-year-old shoe designer says she spent most of her time in Los Angeles and didn’t realise the 45-year-old Today show host was a big deal back home.
She tells this week’s Stellar: ‘I met Karl and moved back to Australia. Karl and I met through friends at lunch one day.

‘I had been mainly back and forth from overseas from the age of 20 and had no idea how popular Karl was in Australia.’
Jasmine went on: ‘So I was in shock when he used to get chased by paparazzi when I would come home for a visit from LA.
‘I remember turning to him one time and saying, ‘What’s going on? You’re not Brad Pitt.”

Karl met Jasmine in late 2016, five months after his split from wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn.
In February 2018, Jasmine confirmed her engagement by wearing a giant diamond sparkler on her ring finger during a celebratory lunch.
Confirming the persistent rumours, the happy couple were spotted dining with family and friends at Otto in the Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo.
