Jonah Hill says goodbye to his friends with an elbow bump after lunch

Jonah Hill says goodbye to his friends with an elbow bump after lunch… while wearing a statement T-shirt and purple shorts in Malibu

He’s been seen hitting the waves on his surfboard and doing yoga this summer.

But Jonah Hill took some time for lunch with friends in Malibu, California on Friday, dressing casually for the occasion in a black t-shirt, purple shorts and colorful footwear.

The two-time Oscar nominee, 36, masked up as well, choosing a black Adidas face covering to stay protected from COVID-19.

The Moneyball star’s shirt displayed the message ‘Think Otherwise’ in white-on-black, all-caps text on the front, and the back of the garment featured a graphic artistic image under the heading ‘End Militarism’.

Jonah’s sneakers were black with grey and orange accents, along with fluorescent green laces.

The actor did his best to social distance during the rendezvous, delivering elbow-bumps to his trio of friends as a means of saying goodbye after their meal.

The group dined at Howdy’s in Malibu, and Jonah met up with them after doing some shopping at James Perse as he carried a shopping bag from that boutique.

Jonah appeared to be on his own for the day, not with his fiancee Gianna Santos.

Hill got his start in the mid-2000s, playing zany featured roles in Judd Apatow comedies such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

In 2007, he broke big in Superbad, in a starring role opposite Michael Cera.

Later, he would reap acclaim, as well as Best Supporting Actor Oscar nods, for 2011’s Moneyball followed by The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013.

The actor, producer and director, who was born in LA, has spent most of the past several years living in New York City.

However, late last year, he and Santos purchased a home in Santa Monica, that sits on the ocean to the west of Los Angeles.

This year has been relatively low-key for Hill on the acting front, after last year’s The Beach Bum.

His IMDb page lists only one credit for 2020: a guest appearance as himself on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
